Elite 11 quarterback camps

In its 11th year, the Elite 11 Quarterback Competition is a four-day event that brings together the top high school quarterbacks to focus on improving their play both on and off the field. A competition designed to give the best high school quarterbacks an opportunity to prepare for the next level and beyond, the Elite 11 has become the most prestigious quarterback event in the country. A late-July event held annually in Southern California, the Elite 11 also brings out the nation's top college signal callers to work as college counselors for the event, providing an invaluable resource to the top high schoolers who will be moving up to that same level the following year.

Past players to participate at the event include Heisman Trophy winners Jason White, Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Troy Smith, Tim Tebow, Drew Brees, Jay Cutler, Ben Roethlisberger, Aaron Rodgers, Vince Young, Derek Anderson, JaMarcus Russell, Trent Edwards, Matt Schaub and many more. The spring itinerary for the 2010 Elite 11 QB Regional Camps will be announced following the completion of the 2009 season. Top high school quarterbacks around the country are invited to workout to not only compete for a spot in the final Elite 11 Quarterback Competition in July, but also to receive advanced, one-on-one quarterback instruction.

There is also a tremendous opportunity for exposure, as each event is covered by ESPN both online and on television. The Elite 11 QB Regional Camps run for two hours. The first hour is station work, as quarterbacks rotate through different stations, with each station containing a useful drill to improve each player. The second hour of the camp is throwing routes to wide receivers. The quarterbacks will begin with three-step drop throws (hitches, slants) and then progress through the passing tree with five and seven step drop throws. Each Elite 11 QB Regional Camp will also have a special accuracy competition.
